Mathematical Animation · Deep Learning · Linear Algebra
Creator, 3Blue1Brown
Grant Sanderson studied mathematics at Stanford and began 3Blue1Brown in 2015 as an experiment in explaining mathematics through animation. The channel has since become one of the most widely watched mathematics resources anywhere, and the animation engine he wrote for it — Manim — is now used by educators worldwide.
His neural-networks series is the reason a generation of engineers can picture what backpropagation does rather than merely recite the formula. It works because it refuses to skip the awkward parts: the chapters end on open questions and honest caveats as often as on clean results.
